It was an honor to teach the Trustee Student Advisory Group (TSAG) 2023-2024 cohort a dining etiquette course to prepare them for their bright futures. I was impressed with the stories shared and the amount of determination this group of emerging adults possessed.
Thank you to the President of Stetson University , Chris Roellke, and Chair of the Board of Trustees, Steven Alexander, for inviting and welcoming me to Stetson University .

The 6th grade students at Divine Savior Academy learned fine dining etiquette as part of the Destination Discovery week . The first course was “cowboy stew” in honor of kicking off the Houston Rodeo. The final class was held at Carrabba’s Italian Restaurant of Sugarland where they were served delicious food with exceptional service . Thank you for investing in our community !

Whether you’re staying in or eating out, it’s important to know how to set the table and read the table . Etiquette is nonnegotiable on the date ! 🌹I give them an A + for decorating too.

Are you”wild” about good manners ? We are ! The middle school gentlemen perfected eating soup without slurping, hunching over their bowl, or spilling onto their shirt . 🙌🏻 They came prepared for dining conversation and being a gracious guest . Watch for upcoming classes !

One thing that I love about teaching etiquette classes is also sharing social etiquette tips. I find it interesting to learn about other cultures, especially living in a very diverse area. It gives people an opportunity to have conversation while dining and bring people together in a positive way. The middle school boy’s class started off with a celebration this evening.

Today is Chinese New Year !! The Lunar New Year represents letting go of the past year to bring in the new one
and all its possibilities - peace, abundance and prosperity.
Personality traits and attributes are often associated with people born in the new year of a particular animal. Last year was the Tiger and this year is the Rabbit. Those born in rabbit years are said to be ELEGANT , GRACEFUL and KIND.

Do you know the difference between Afternoon Tea and High Tea? Pinkies up or Pinkies down ? ☕️🫖🧁
The National Charity League (NCL) class of 2027 can tell you !
I had the pleasure of joining them for their “Sparkle into the New Year” tea/hot chocolate event . It was exciting to share etiquette tips and Aunt Lisa’s china with a special group of young ladies .

The Sienna National Charity League Class of 2026 learned the importance of a first impression , how to dress appropriately for occasions , walk gracefully in heels, and engage in meaningful conversation. This was a delightful group of young ladies to work with !
