The Houston Leather Guild was a busy bunch this weekend. We started Friday with Don Gonzales teaching his floral tooling class. (https://dgsaddlery.com/) This is one of the best reasons to be a member of the Guild. Access to excellent instructors!

What are you missing by not joining the Guild? World Class teachers Robert Beard, Karla Van Horne, Chris Andre, Don Gonzales and more! (3 of these are Al Stohlman Award Recipients, two of which are the oldest living recipients with over 55 years of experience to share.) Leading distributors in the industry, Campbell Randall Machinery. As well, we have several Board Members that are actively engaged in leather craft manufacture, and have years of experience in tooling, constructions and the craft in general.

How can you be a part of this? Join! Guild members are afforded the first opportunity to sign up for classes, attend monthly meetings (where we teach technique, tooling, construction and more) and enjoy numerous social events during the year.

We meet every third Saturday of the month at a Tandy Store or other location (depending on the topic). We also host many one- and two-day classes with special instructors that com in and share with our members.

So don’t just sit on the side-line, come join in on the learning and fun! You are always welcome to come visit a regular meeting for free, to see if the guild is a fit for you.

Great turn out at Campbell Randall Machinery and some great information and history. Dan Naegle had a masive amount of history and knowledge he willingly shared with the members. We appreciate our local suppliers that help us in our growth in leather craft!

Holster and Knife Sheath classes this weekend! $100 for Holster class Saturday and 175.00 for knife sheath on Sunday. (You get to keep the knife you make the sheath for! See photo.). If you want to join in there is still a couple of seats in both classes! Message if you want to get a seat and we will get you set up!

Welcome to the Houston Leather Guild's Fan Page! We wanted to take a moment to re-introduce the Guild and explain our purpose. First and foremost, we meet "in-person" once a month for instructional, social and leathercraft related activities. (We are NOT an internet guild.) By Liking and Following this page, you will be kept in the know of the Monthly Meetings and Events that we host around the City of Houston. Many of our events allow Non-Member to attend and see if they find the Guild a fit for their needs, and are free to attend. However many of our events are paid instructional classes by Masters in the field and you must purchase a seat in order to attend that event.

Leather craft is something that needs to be taught in person. The Houston Leather Guild is focused on edifiying each member's skills and talents, no matter if you are a beginner or master in your craft!

Guild dues are $30.00 a year (or $15.00 for a beginner that is just starting in the craft) So drop by a meeting and see if the Houston Leather Guild is a fit for you!
