🔵Do you notice the increase in male platforms?

🔵Do you notice how they are flagged, or harassed?

These platforms are not just about discussing relationships, they are a place for men to go and find ideas, and support each other.

This video is just a few of my thoughts on the importance of male platforms.

🔵Thank you for watching!

You are no longer the victim, you are the survivor.
It takes investing in yourself to break the addiction.

I thought it would be appropriate to reshare this post

There are many things that effect mental health for men, and sexual abuse always seems to be the one that goes unmentioned.

So many men have experienced sexual abuse, and still, images of support for survivors often show women and girls.

I hope this post is a reminder to include men and boys when discussing PREVENTION & SUPPORT for survivors.

Let’s always support mens mental health, every month, and every day.

Oftentimes, when I have a conversation with a Male survivor,

he tells me how many times he has tried to find help

Therapy, EMDR, Meditation…

And during our discussion, He realizes:

“I am doing better than I think!”👏

***************************

How can you tell you are doing well?

🔹 Ask yourself:

💭 “Am I healed per my standards❓”….

You might be surprised to find you are doing better than you have given yourself credit for!

And if you think you still need more (per your standards),
I am hear to listen, and assist you to get there!

Some men remember all the the details of the abuse, and some do not.

This is because the brain stored the memories through the hippocampus, or the amygdala.

The amygdala jumps in to store experiences that are dangerous (intense threat) into memory.

Even if you can’t remember what specifically happened to you,
you know something happened.

Sexual assault can happen to any man, at any age, at any position in life.

What matters is you deserve to be heard.

It was completely inappropriate! Shame on her and who ever wrote the joke! Another situation where all we have to do is switch the gender….Would a male actor be able to do this to female actresses?

It shouldn’t need to be said,
it should be common sense, obvious respect for a Mans body.

But we see it often, women putting their hands on men with no thought for male consent.

Why do they do this?

They do it because there is a negative belief,

that men should be glad to receive any type of female attention, and if he turns it down something is wrong with him.

This belief is unfortunately held by women and men.

So how can men get the consent they deserve?

Point it out, when women don’t ask men for consent, hold others accountable, support another mans right to give consent.

Men, demand your consent!
Expect it!
And expose those who disrespect you.
