This is my student Amy. She came to her violin lesson today in her pajamas with her cold brew by her side. She takes lessons every week from the comfort of her own home in Philadelphia while I live in Houston. In addition to teaching her scales and classical music we have also spent time learning video game music and some pop. We also love to discuss baseball and national parks.
is a professional voice teacher, but she never stops learning which is why she has taken violin lessons for the past 2 years and takes virtual improv classes from London. Music is for everyone and I love that I can bring music to you in your home. Reach out today if you are interested in starting virtual music lessons in your home!

Still teaching—just not posting much because I don’t like “having” to do it.
Whew—that’s Year #3 in the books for my studio. I did my last 2 teaching days with the power out, no AC, using lanterns and extension cords from our generator. BUT I GOT IT DONE.
Thank you to my incredible students for your trust and for all the musical fun. 🎻🎶
I am on a teaching hiatus until July. See you then! ⛺️ Happy Summer!!!

Hi, I’m still here. Still staying busy teaching, but not making much effort to post regularly because honestly, it steals my joy. When my amazing student posted this today to her own stories it seemed like a good time to snag it and share.
If you need a virtual voice teacher check her out. If you want virtual violin lessons check me out. ✌🏼

Last days of lessons this term. Taking a little break until middle of July to travel and hang out with family. 🎉
I am so grateful to have my own studio and the flexible lifestyle it affords me. It is such a privilege to teach my amazing students.
Thank you for your trust.

Who else uses phrases to help students learn rhythms? I was helping a student work on audition music and she was playing it twice as slow as required and so I said no it’s like if you were ordering and said “beef taco with cheese” and that helped it click!!

My student Becky and I decided to do some orchestra al fresco while the weather is amazing. 🌳 ☀️ 🎻
If you haven’t ever practiced outside I HIGHLY recommend it before it gets too hot. 😅
