My favorite MISSO memory was the banquet last semester where everyone came together to celebrate. It was a great break from classes and a chance to connect with people I don’t usually see. It really showed how supportive and close the MISSO community is.

Say hi to the person sitting next to you. If you recognize someone from MISSO around campus, introduce yourself. Most importantly, stay involved. There are a lot of companies coming this semester, so show up and make yourself seen. And don’t forget to use MISSO’s professional development resources.

FAVORITE MISSO MEMORY 💙

My favorite MISSO memory was the MISSO Banquet because it was a moment where everyone could finally slow down, reflect, and celebrate how far the organization had come. Seeing all the new officers, past officers, and members together in one room, recognizing the hard work put in throughout the semester, and just enjoying each other’s company, especially on the dance floor, made it really special. It felt like a true reminder of the community MISSO has built.

WHAT EVENT ARE YOU LOOKING FORWARD TO 💙

I'm really looking forward to the Beach Cleanup Event! It’s a great mix of giving back to the community while also getting to spend time with everyone in a more relaxed, fun setting. Cleaning up the beach together and then hanging out afterward on the beach sounds like the perfect balance of impact and bonding, and I think it’ll be a really memorable MISSO event.

ADVICE FOR MEMBERS 💙

Get involved early and don’t be afraid to put yourself out there. MISSO has so many opportunities: events, committees, socials, and leadership roles, that you’ll only benefit from if you take advantage of them. Talk to people, ask questions, and show up consistently. The more you invest in MISSO, the more you’ll grow both professionally and personally.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE PART OF BEING THE VICE PRESIDENT? 💙

My favorite part of being a VP is making sure the team is working well together and that everyone is doing okay, not just in their roles, but as people. I really enjoy focusing on team bonding and strong communication because when the officer team feels supported and connected, it naturally reflects onto our members. That positive energy makes people want to come to more MISSO events, get involved, and eventually step into officer roles themselves.
