🔥 Exciting news from ACC! We're thrilled to announce a fantastic addition to our Culinary Arts curriculum: a top-of-the-line BBQ pit!
Chef Laura Trigo, our amazing Culinary Arts instructor, dreamed of bringing advanced BBQ techniques to our program. To make it happen, she submitted an Innovative Grant proposal to the ACC Foundation.
The ACC Foundation loved the idea and approved the grant! 💰 The community quickly rallied together to support this initiative. Terry Droege, owner of TDEC, Inc. – Electrical Contractor, generously donated a used competition-grade BBQ pit that needed some TLC. 🔧
Chef Trigo then reached out to ACC Welding Program Coordinator and alumnus Leroy Brigman, who contacted his friend, Travis Plaster, owner of Triple 7 F Fabrication. Travis, whose mom is a former ACC employee, enthusiastically agreed to refurbish the pit, even donating materials and labor. ⚒️
Yesterday, the beautifully refurbished BBQ pit arrived on campus, marking a huge enhancement to our Culinary Arts program.
The ACC Foundation also presented a check to Chef Trigo for the grant! 👏
This amazing collaboration showcases the strength and unity of our ACC community in supporting innovative educational initiatives. ❤️
