It has been an honor serving nurses from 43 countries. NCLEX may be just another test for many, but for these international nurses, this is the start of their journey to a better life for them and their families.

I am so proud to have been part of my Aspirers’ journey. Truly one of the best highlights of my career! 💙

From different corners of the world, one dream connected us all. 🌍💙

Over the years, AspireRN became home to thousands of aspiring nurses who trusted us to be part of their NCLEX journey. Seeing nurses from so many countries succeed has always been one of our greatest achievements.

Every review session attended, every sleepless night endured, every “PASSED” message shared with us — all of it became part of something bigger than we ever imagined.

As we look back on the community we built together, our hearts are filled with gratitude for every student, mentor, and supporter who became part of AspireRN’s story.

This journey has truly been unforgettable. ✨

One of the reasons I’ve stayed a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners for years is because the benefits actually support my practice and professional growth.

Some of the membership benefits include:
• Free AANP Course of the Month
• 50% off certificate programs
• Free accredited articles and podcasts
• $75 off AANPCB certification
• More than $200 off national conference registration

The advocacy work for nurse practitioner practice at the national and state level also continues to be one of the most important parts of membership for me.

It took me more than 9 years to get my U.S. visa. Years of sacrifice, heartbreak, and sheer determination. I thought about giving up on my American dream so many times. But I kept believing when everyone else gave up on me. I kept pushing when no one was there to help. I kept fighting even when I had nothing left in me.

Now, looking back after 9 years in the U.S., I can say this: it was worth the wait.

Life may not go exactly as planned, but good things come to those who stay patient, keep working, and never stop dreaming.

Happy International Nurses Day!

Posting a throwback picture from 2007 (and 50lbs ago?) with my college besties. This was our send off party I believe. We were in senior year, thrilled to have survived the brutal (for the lack of better term) four years in BSN, and getting ready to enter the workforce. We were eager and hopeful, full of dreams and aspirations.

Today, all of us, sans our dearest Jozainne (RIP), work as international nurses in different parts of the world. I am so proud of our journey.

Thanks to our college, Far Eastern University - Dr. Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation, for preparing us well and for cultivating in our hearts what it truly means to be a nurse. It’s been 19 years since we left the halls of our alma mater. But we are forever grateful for the lessons, for the memories, for the experiences, and for friends we’ve made!

I’ve been a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners for years, and it continues to give me real value in my practice and career. I initially joined for the continuing education courses, webinars, and podcasts, which made the membership worth it on their own. Over time, I started to see how much work happens through advocacy at both the national and state level, and how that directly impacts our voice and our future as nurse practitioners.
This is not only for experienced NPs because even as an NP student, being part of this space gives you early exposure to the profession, the policy work, and the community that shapes where we are going. That is why I have stayed a member for more than five years.

Happy Nurses Week to all nurses around the world, especially our Global Ambassadors and IENs who continue to lead, inspire, and transform healthcare every day.

This year’s International Council of Nurses (ICN) theme, “Our Nurses. Our Future. Empowered Nurses Save Lives,” reminds us of the importance of investing in nurses, supporting leadership, and amplifying the voices of nurses globally.

At SIENNA, we remain committed to empowering IENs through mentorship, advocacy, education, and community.

This is one for the books. It means so much to me. I moved to Houston in the middle of the pandemic and was honestly not sure if I made the right decision at that time.

Many times in my nursing career, I felt lost and didn’t know what I was doing. What kept me going was my passion to help and serve my patients, my community, and my colleagues.

This Nurses Week, I dedicate this award to the millions of nurses around the world working on the frontlines and making the world a better place to live.

Congratulations to my co-honorees, and Happy Nurses Week!
