You know what it takes to maintain a happy and healthy relationship with you. Don’t let anyone tell you your standards are too high. If they can’t meet your standards, they’re not the one for you.

In my period of self-reflection during my healing journey, I discovered that I often stayed in situations that didn’t serve me well and I tolerated mistreatment. The driver of those behaviors was that I defined myself by my past mistakes. This caused me to believe I didn’t deserve to be treated with kindness and respect.

Getting that revelation ignited self-compassion in me and made me demand kindness and respect from myself at all times. I showed up for me differently and began making decisions based on who I am, and not what I did in the past.

Spend some time in meditation today and identify the behavior patterns in your life that cause you distress. Identify the drivers. Decide how you’ll change your narrative and show up differently for YOU💛
