Their voices tell the story.
At WLA, students learn live online with real teachers, small classes, meaningful connection, and a school community that honors who they are.

What if this summer helped your child keep growing instead of having to “catch back up” in the fall?
For ten weeks, students ages 5 to 18 can grow in math, writing, and language with teachers who see them, peers who get them, and a curriculum rooted in who they are.
For younger students, that may mean building confidence with foundational math and writing skills.
For middle and high school students, that may mean staying sharp in Algebra, Geometry, Algebra 2, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, and other advanced math areas so they do not lose retention, momentum, or confidence over the summer.
Whole Living Academy Summer 2026 opens June 22.
Ten weeks. Live online. Math, Writing, and optional Spanish or Kiswahili.
Workshops in AI, Chess, STEM, Financial Empowerment, Game Development, and Creative Writing are free for every enrolled student.
Comment SUMMER and we will send you the full program guide. 🌍

The math track names are Kiswahili. The science workshops are built around African invention. The financial literacy lessons connect to real diaspora history. Culture is woven into everything we teach at Whole Living Academy because that is what belonging actually looks like inside a classroom.
Summer 2026 opens June 22. Scholars ages 6 to 18.

Here is something we have seen over and over. A child says they hate writing. What they actually hate is being handed something that has nothing to do with who they are. WLA Summer 2026 has three writing tracks — creative storytelling for ages 6 to 10, paragraph writing and guided reading for ages 11 to 13, and essay writing with literary analysis for teens. Live. Twice a week. Small groups. What does writing look like in your homeschool right now?

More than 1,000 years ago, Timbuktu was a major center of learning.
Located in present-day Mali, Timbuktu hosted universities and libraries where scholars studied law, mathematics, astronomy, literature, and theology.
The Sankore University system - the oldest known university - attracted students and scholars from across Africa and beyond.
Thousands of manuscripts from this tradition still exist today.

Homeschool tip: connect lessons to real life.
Math becomes clearer when students track spending, calculate discounts, or plan a budget.
Science becomes meaningful when students grow plants, cook, or observe nature.
Learning becomes powerful when students see how knowledge shows up in everyday life.

A simple way to strengthen learning at home: let students teach the lesson.
After studying a topic, ask your child to explain it back to you.
They can teach it through a short presentation, drawing, or even a mini lesson.
When students teach, they organize ideas, strengthen memory, and build confidence.
