6th grade elements of art sign language project. Each hand represents one of the elements of art. They also each spell a 7 letter word✌🏼Students learned how to draw hands during this unit as well (no tracing). Great results this year!!!

All 6th graders had the same image when learning how to shade using graphite pencils. Since there are no more art contests or art shows for the remainder of the year, we’re full force into techniques. Students drew their image in a grid, shaded using various graphite pencils PLUS colored 1 candy using the prismacolor layering process (also learned about emphasis). They did well for being only 11/12 years old!!!😁

6th graders brought in shoe box lids for the base of their layered paper perspective project! Students learned about different biomes to get location inspiration. The main concept taught in this lesson is understanding foreground, middle ground and background. Happy Saturday😁

Whipped this up for my 6th graders. Keepin it simple but just complicated enough for them to start learning the process of layering colored pencils✌🏼🫡
