Dear neighbors,
PACA has received a CALL TO ACTION request for the community pantry on Pullman Avenue:
🥫 Please clean out your cabinets and DONATE WHAT YOU CAN to Nick’s Box. 📣
The pantry is in need of shelf stable items that won't melt in this heat. We don't mind items that have expired! Soups, and canned hearty meal items are great! We are needing hygiene items such as travel size (or full size) shampoo, conditioner, body wash/soap, deodorant, toothbrush, toothpaste, and feminine hygiene items including pads and tampons.
It's back to school time, so if you have old backpacks or rolling luggage you would like to donate, there has been an expressed need for these items by the unhoused.
Shoes, socks, shorts, and jeans have also been very popular items that have gone quickly.
A little bit of everything has gone out of the pantry- Dishes, cutlery, clothing, produce, books, baby items, hygiene, countless meals, and so much more.
This project would not be happening without the community, so let's keep rising to the level of need, and keep the pantry going for those in need.
Items can be brought to PACA meetings, or a pickup for items can be scheduled by reaching out to [email protected]
