Lakeside EHC officers met at the Fairgrounds today for officer training. Other Garland County EHC club officers were there also. Alison Crane taught us some new vocabulary words....several we had to Google to find the meanings. We were treated to a wonderful potluck lunch provided by those who participated. We ARE ready for our new year.

Today Lakeside EHC met at the home of Phyllis Clark for our yearly picnic and installation of our 26-27 officers. After a game of Corn Hole Baseball we enjoyed a delicious potluck consisting of ham, macaroni and cheese, potato salad, pasta salad , pretzel/ strawberry jello salad, vegetable tray, ham rolls, baked beans, Chips and dip, brownies. Coconut macaroons. Patriotic decorated rise Krispy treats. Several kinds of rolls. If I forgot anything I'm sorry. Im still full. Marcia had a Patriotic quilt for show and share. Sally Baker won our door prize.

Here are the pics from our May meeting! Millie gave the lesson, Pat was hostess and Ruby won the door prize. Marcia shared her patriotic quilt, Dana shared her heirloom quilts and Ruby modeled a crocheted jacket.

Janie attended the AEHC State Meeting yesterday. She enjoyed seeing EHC friends from around the state as well as enjoying lunch with new acquaintances and members from other clubs in Garland County.

Eight Lakeside members and one guest enjoyed the Spring Council yesterday. The decorations designed by Jennifer and Millie(with supervision by Virginia) were spectacular! The meal was delicious and Janie’s activities were bird themed. Katy and Pat won door prizes and several of us purchased centerpieces along with members from other clubs. Our speaker and his wife were presented with the one with a bird identified as a phoebe - her favorite!
