Voting for the People’s Choice Award opens tomorrow! Please go vote for our awesome students! 💙

Voting for the People's Choice Award opens tomorrow! 🎨

Make your voice heard in the Student Juried Exhibition, and come by the Regional Arts Center and vote for your favorite student artwork.

Voting will be open from April 29 to May 3 from 10 AM - 4 PM, and the winner will be announced during the receptions on May 4. Please note: There will be NO voting on the day of the reception. Make sure to get your vote in early!

Receptions:
High School - 1:30 PM
Middle School - 2:00 PM
Elementary - 2:30 PM

If you are at the fair today or tomorrow, be sure to stop by the fine arts building and check out all of the wonderful artwork. Congratulations to all the HHS Art students that entered artwork and placed in their categories! You all continue to represent HHS Art and Hooks ISD well! We are very proud of you!

Five HHS students had their artwork accepted into the Texarkana Regional Arts and Humanities Council’s 32nd Annual Student Juried Exhibition! This show is very competitive and has hundreds of entries from surrounding schools each year. Please help me in congratulating
these students on this accomplishment!

Great job to Kaylon Storey (Paper Collage), Aislyn Barlow (Acrylic Painting), Chaning Barber (Paper Collage), Alaska Baker (Acrylic Painting), and Harper Walker (Mutlimedia).

Voting for the People’s Choice Award will be Tuesday, April 29th through Saturday, May 3rd from 10 am to 4 pm each day. The reception for 9th - 12th grade work will be held on Sunday, May 4th at 1:30 pm. Student artwork will be on exhibit at Texarkana Regional Arts and Humanities Council through June 28th. All exhibits are free to the public.

HHS Art attended VASE for the very first time today and came home with six regional medals! I am beyond proud of these students and their hard work. Creating artwork can take a lot of time and effort, but it takes a huge amount of courage to enter that artwork into a competition. Please join me in congratulating Alaska Baker, Walker Davis, Laila Harmon, and Harper Walker! These students represented Hooks ISD and HHS Art well today!

Merry Christmas from HHS Art! 🎨🎄

Art I and II students made Christmas cards before break. Yesterday a few HHS Art students hand delivered those cards to our community members that live in Amanda Square. Thank you, HHS Art students, for spreading some Christmas cheer! 💙🎄✨
