Let your little one become a letter finding detective!! 🔎 Give them a magnifying glass and choose one letter at a time for them to find in a book, magazine, or newspaper. They can highlight or circle that letter as they find it (if they use an old magazine for example). Let them tally up how many they find on a separate price of paper to add a little math fun!!

🌟I’ve been enjoying my Friday tutoring sessions so much! 🌟Here are some fun ideas from today’s session to help your preschooler learn their letters at home.

🌟First, write the letters they are learning all over a white board. Then call out letters randomly and have your child find and circle the letters until all letters have been found. They love writing on a white board, but a piece of paper works good too.
Bingo is another fun alternative to this activity.
🌟Also, we tried writing the letters in “snow” with paint brushes. (Salt with glitter). Each child chose a snowflake with an upper or lower case letter to write. They loved writing like this and it made writing letters fun! They also enjoyed burying their letters under the snow and then “excavating” them with the paintbrushes. After they write or excavate their letters, they say the letter name and sound. 🌟Have them use the snowflake letters to match upper to lower case letters. You can also play this as a memory game when your child needs a more advanced game. 🌟
