You asked for more nostalgic treats, so we’re bringing another one to the farmstand this weekend! 😍

You may remember Big Deb’s, my homemade twist on the classic Little Debbie Oatmeal Cream Pie. They’ve become a fan favorite around here, so I thought… why stop there? 😉

This weekend, we’re introducing DEBORAH AFTER DARK. 🌙🍫

My own homemade take on Little Debbie Fudge Rounds!

Two soft, fudgy chocolate cookies with a rich, creamy filling in between. All the nostalgic goodness you remember, but made right here in my kitchen with real homemade ingredients instead of a label that requires a magnifying glass and 87 ingredients. 😂

🍎📚 BACK-TO-SCHOOL NOSTALGIA IS COMING TO THE FARM STAND! 📚🍎

We’re bringing back a little piece of childhood this weekend… but of course, I had to make it my own. 😉

✨ COSMIC-STYLE BROWNIE THINS ✨

Think thin, fudgy, chocolatey brownie + a thin layer of silky ganache frosting + colorful candy pieces on top. Basically, the lunchbox treat we remember from growing up, only better. ❤️

I wanted to keep these as close as possible to the nostalgic version, but with a little Rusty Rake Homestead twist. Since I try to avoid artificial dyes whenever possible, I couldn’t find the traditional cosmic-style candies without them. So instead, I crushed up dye-free M&M-style candies from Trader Joe’s and sprinkled them over the top.

The result? A brownie that looks like something straight out of our childhood lunchboxes, but tastes even better. 😋

Whether you remember packing these in your kids’ lunches, eating them as an after-school snack, or you’re all grown up now and just want to relive the nostalgia… these are for you!

And speaking of back-to-school… we all know what happens when those kids head back into the classroom. 😳 Suddenly every sniffle, cough and bug seems to make its way home!

So while you’re stocking the pantry for school lunches, don’t forget our HOMEMADE SEEDLESS ELDERBERRY JAM. 🫐

Our elderberries are locally sourced, carefully processed and turned into a beautiful, seedless homemade jam. Elderberries have a long history of traditional use and are well known for their association with immune support and wellness, making elderberry a favorite ingredient for this time of year.

How about a good old-fashioned PB&J made with homemade elderberry jam for the lunchbox? ❤️🥜🫐

🍪 A LITTLE SNEAK PEEK OF WHAT’S MAKING ITS WAY BACK TO THE FARMSTAND THIS WEEKEND… 🍪

Okay, I know some of you are going to be VERY happy about this one. 😂

You all know I’m not exactly the biggest fan of fall. Pumpkin spice? I can take it or leave it. 🍂😂

BUT… I know my customers, and I know how much you LOVE those cozy fall flavors. So when August rolls around and Starbucks starts bringing back the pumpkin spice, I know it’s time to start working a few of YOUR favorites back into the rotation. 😉

And this one is definitely a customer favorite…

🤎 White Chocolate Biscoff Jumbo Cookies 🤎

My original jumbo cookie base gets loaded with crushed Biscoff cookies and white chocolate chips, then each cookie is stuffed with a dollop of creamy cookie butter before being baked until golden and delicious.

And of course, we have to finish it with a piece of an actual Biscoff cookie right on top. 😍

If you love traditional cookie butter, Biscoff cookies, or those little Biscoff cookies you get on an airplane ✈️, this one is for YOU.

This isn’t a new cookie around here. It’s one I bring back every fall because you guys love it. And this weekend, it’s officially making its way back into the farmstand lineup.

So even though I may not be ready for fall… YOU clearly are. 😂🍪🤎

Help Me Name This Little Lady! 🐔💚

Okay, Farmstand family… I need your help! 😂

We are now confident that our newest 8-week-old pullet is a GIRL, and she needs a name!

She’s a pretty special little chicken because she’s a cross between Lucy, our Black Copper Marans hen, and Cash, our Whiting True Blue rooster. That makes this little girl an F1 Olive Egger! 🫒🥚💚

And since we tend to name our chickens after vintage TV characters or old-school country singers, I’d love to hear your suggestions! We also like old lady names!
