🏆⚽️ UNDEFEATED. CONFERENCE CHAMPIONS. ⚽️🏆

THE HOLMEN VIKINGS HAVE DONE IT!

The Vikings put the perfect finishing touch on an incredible regular season tonight, defeating our friendly neighborhood Onalaska Hilltoppers 6–3 to officially finish the regular season UNDEFEATED and CONFERENCE CHAMPIONS!

Holmen came out ready to play, jumping out to a 3–0 lead in the first period.

⚽️ Ella Schams opened the scoring for the Vikings.
⚽️ Camden Ryan followed by finding the back of the net.
⚽️ Kian Carlisle made it 3–0 off a great assist from Gabe Schams.

But Onalaska wasn’t going away quietly!

The Hilltoppers came out battling in the second period, scoring twice and cutting into the Holmen lead. The Vikings responded exactly the way this team has all season — together.

⚽️ Ella Schams scored her second goal of the night.
⚽️ Landon Wientzen added another.
⚽️ Carter Van Lin capped off the Vikings’ scoring.

Onalaska added one more before the final whistle, but Holmen held strong to earn the 6–3 victory.

And then that final whistle sounded…

But as proud as we are of that undefeated record, the wins aren’t what make this season special.

It’s watching our athletes encourage a teammate after a mistake.

It’s seeing the extra pass instead of taking the shot.

It’s the smiles, high-fives, sportsmanship, celebrations, and friendships between athletes from both teams.

It’s watching athletes become more confident, more vocal, more independent, and more willing to step outside their comfort zones.

THAT is what Adapted Sports is all about.

Every athlete on this team has played a part in getting us here, and we could not be more proud of the way they have represented Holmen, their families, their school, and the Adapted Sports League.

And a huge thank you to our friends from Onalaska for another fun, competitive game played with tremendous sportsmanship. These athletes may wear different jerseys, but we’re all part of one ASL family.

The regular season may be over…

Tonight, the Holmen Vikings make the short trip to visit our friendly neighborhood Onalaska Hilltoppers for the final game of the regular season!

There’s always something special about getting together with our friends from Onalaska. We may wear different colors and compete hard once that ball starts rolling, but at the end of the day, we’re all on the same team when it comes to what matters most.

ASL is about giving athletes a place to compete, belong, build confidence, make friendships, and experience everything that makes high school sports so special. It’s about celebrating the great pass just as loudly as the goal. Helping an opponent back up. Cheering for someone who gave everything they had. And recognizing that success looks different for every athlete who steps onto that court.

Tonight also marks the FINAL regular-season game for our Vikings before we turn our attention toward the playoffs. What a season it has been — filled with incredible effort, growth, laughter, teamwork, sportsmanship, and memories we’ll carry with us long after the final whistle.

We’re incredibly proud of these athletes, and tonight we get one more opportunity to watch them do what they love alongside some pretty awesome Hilltoppers.

Come join us in Onalaska and CHEER FOR EVERY ATHLETE ON THAT COURT!

Because this has always been about so much more than the scoreboard.

⚽️❤️VIKINGS KEEP ROLLING WITH A 6–3 ROAD WIN! ⚽️

The Holmen Vikings hit the road tonight to take on the Logan Rangers ASL Soccer Team, and while the Vikings came home with another 6–3 victory, tonight was about so much more than the final score.

It was about growth. Teamwork. Trusting one another. And becoming better teammates.

With the playoffs just around the corner, our Vikings used tonight as an opportunity to work on the little things that can make a BIG difference — passing, communication, finding open teammates, playing unselfishly, and staying disciplined defensively.

And we couldn’t be prouder of the way they responded.

Holmen came out strong in the first period, with Wade Schuster and Kian Carlisle finding the back of the net. The Rangers answered with a goal before Logan Rastsall added another for the Vikings. Logan continued to battle, but Karsen Nelson found the net to send Holmen into the second period with a 4–2 lead.

The back-and-forth action continued in the second. Andrew Bell added another goal for Holmen, Logan answered once again, and Kai Rice finished the scoring for the Vikings to secure the 6–3 road victory!

But some of our favorite moments tonight weren’t goals.

They were the extra pass to a teammate. The communication on defense. The encouragement after a mistake. The willingness to play a different role for the good of the team. And the smiles, sportsmanship, and respect shown by athletes on both sides of the court.

That’s what ASL is all about.

A huge thank you to the Logan Rangers athletes and coaches for another fun, competitive game and for helping create an environment where every athlete has the opportunity to compete, contribute, and be celebrated.

And now… the countdown is officially on.

🔥 ONE regular-season game remains.
🔥 The Vikings are still UNDEFEATED.
🔥 And the PLAYOFFS begin next week!

But more important than the record is the team these athletes are becoming.

They’ve worked. They’ve grown. They’ve supported one another. And every time they step onto the court, they continue to show us what effort, inclusion, teamwork, and sportsmanship are supposed to look like.

One more regular-season game together. Then it’s playoff time.

When Holmen and Logan take the court today, we want every athlete to feel supported, valued, and PROUD of what they accomplish.

We’ll compete hard. We’ll cheer LOUD. We’ll show great sportsmanship. And when that final whistle blows, we’ll celebrate ALL of the incredible athletes who had the courage to step onto that court and give their very best!

VIKINGS PERSEVERE IN A THRILLING SUDDEN-DEATH ROAD WIN!

Tonight was about so much more than the final score.

The Holmen Vikings hit the road tonight for a tough matchup against Black River Falls — and our athletes gave us every reason to be incredibly proud.

From the opening whistle to the final goal, the Vikings played with heart, determination, sportsmanship, and CLASS. When things didn’t go their way, they didn’t complain. They didn’t quit. They kept working, supported one another, and represented Holmen High School and Adapted Sports exactly the way we want our athletes to represent us.

Black River Falls struck first, but the Vikings never let the early deficit shake them.

Gabe Schams answered with a big goal to keep Holmen right in the fight.

In the second period, Carter Van Lin came through with another huge goal as the Vikings continued to battle.

Black River Falls answered again, and when regulation ended with the teams deadlocked, there was only one way to decide it…

SUDDEN DEATH!

With everything on the line, the Vikings continued to play together.

Ella Schams delivered a beautiful assist to Wade Schuster, and Wade buried it in the back of the net!

⚽️ GAME OVER! VIKINGS WIN! ⚽️

But as exciting as that final goal was, what impressed us most tonight was HOW our athletes competed.

They worked incredibly hard.

They encouraged their teammates.

They handled adversity.

They showed respect.

They demonstrated tremendous sportsmanship.

And through every exciting, difficult, and emotional moment of the game, they carried themselves with incredible class.

Winning is exciting — but watching our athletes become the kind of teammates and young people who make their school and community proud means even more.

Tonight, the Vikings showed what perseverance looks like.

They showed what teamwork looks like.

They showed what sportsmanship looks like.

And they showed exactly what it means to REPRESENT HOLMEN.

We could not be prouder of the effort these athletes gave tonight.

⚽️🔥 VIKINGS CLOSE OUT THE HOME SCHEDULE WITH A WIN! 🔥⚽️

The Holmen Vikings played their final regular-season home game tonight, welcoming the West Salem/Bangor Panthers to Holmen. With the remainder of the regular season taking the Vikings on the road, our athletes were determined to make their final home appearance one to remember!

And they did just that.

⚽️ A FAST START

Carter Van Lin got the Vikings on the board first, finding the back of the net to give Holmen the early lead.

West Salem/Bangor answered with two goals of their own, but the Vikings responded quickly.

Camden Ryan came up BIG from center, scoring twice to put Holmen back in front! Kian Carlisle added another goal for the Vikings, while the Panthers found the net once more.

After a back-and-forth opening period, the Vikings headed into the break with a 4–3 lead.

🛡️ THEN THE DEFENSE TOOK OVER.

The second period wasn’t about adding to the lead.

It was about protecting it.

Gabriella Villareal, Gabe Schams, and Carter Van Lin stepped up in a HUGE way defensively, working together to keep the ball out of the middle of the court and away from the Vikings’ goal.

It wasn’t always pretty. It certainly wasn’t easy. But our athletes stayed focused, communicated, battled for every ball, and refused to give West Salem/Bangor the opportunity they needed to tie the game.

Not a single goal was scored in the entire second period.

When the final whistle sounded, that first-period lead was enough.

HOLMEN 4 — WEST SALEM/BANGOR 3

Sometimes games are won by putting goal after goal on the scoreboard.

Other times, they’re won by the players willing to dig in, communicate, do the little things right, and protect a lead together.

Tonight was one of those nights.

One final regular-season home game.
One more home victory.
One great way to finish.

📣 A special shout-out and HUGE thank-you to the Holmen Vikings Cheer Team for joining us tonight! They brought incredible energy to the gym, kept our fans cheering, and gave our athletes an awesome home-game atmosphere!

And finally, THANK YOU to all of our families, fans, students, staff, and supporters who have filled the stands, cheered loudly, and supported our athletes throughout the home schedule. The atmosphere you’ve helped create for these athletes means more than you know.

The home schedule may be finished, but the Vikings aren’t done yet.

VIKINGS ROAR TO AN 8–3 VICTORY OVER BLACK RIVER FALLS!

The Holmen Vikings ASL Indoor Soccer Team was back on its home court tonight, ready to battle the Black River Falls Tigers! And while the Vikings faced some early challenges, this team showed exactly what makes them so special: determination, teamwork, and the ability to make adjustments when things aren't going their way!
After a rocky start, Holmen found its rhythm, turned up the intensity, and powered its way to an impressive 8–3 VICTORY!

⚽️ FIRST PERIOD: FINDING OUR GROOVE!
The Vikings opened the game battling through a frustrating stretch of high kick after high kick. But rather than getting discouraged, our athletes stayed focused, listened to their coaches, and worked together to turn things around.

And once they found their rhythm, LOOK OUT!

🔥 Kian Carlisle moved to center offense and broke through with the Vikings' first goal of the night! He wasn't finished, either, taking advantage of a slow-rolling ball to sneak another one into the net!

🔥 Aiden Romskog wasted no time joining the scoring party, firing one home to keep the Vikings rolling!

🔥 Camden Ryan showed great awareness, capitalizing on a ricochet and putting another goal on the board!

🔥 Gabe Schams came charging down the court and absolutely SLAMMED one into the back of the net!

Black River Falls battled hard and managed to get on the scoreboard, but the Vikings headed into the second period with a commanding 5–1 lead!

⚽️ SECOND PERIOD: KEEP THAT MOMENTUM GOING!

The Vikings picked up right where they left off, continuing to communicate, create opportunities, and make things happen!

💥 Camden Ryan struck again, finding the net from center for his second goal of the night!

💥 Jett Lewis stepped up and delivered a fantastic goal from center, adding to the Vikings' lead!

💥 Wade Schuster showed some impressive offensive awareness, sneaking the ball around a defender and into the net!

The Tigers refused to back down, adding two more goals of their own, but Holmen's determination and teamwork carried the Vikings across the finish line with an 8–3 WIN!

🧤 DEFENSE WINS GAMES, TOO!
While our offense was putting on a show, our defense deserves a HUGE round of applause!
A special shout-out to Landon Wientzen, who once again delivered a phenomenal performance in goal! Landon continues to be an incredible presence for the Vikings, working hard to protect the net and give his teammates confidence on the court!
And let's hear it for our defensive crew!

🛡️ Gabriella Villareal anchored the center defense, helping keep the Tigers' offense in check.

🛡️ Gabe Schams, Carter Van Lin, and Jett Lewis battled hard defensively, working together to keep the ball away from Holmen's goal and create opportunities for their teammates.

What an outstanding TEAM EFFORT!

MORE THAN JUST ANOTHER WIN!
What makes this group so incredible isn't simply the number of goals they score or the wins they put on the board.

It's watching our athletes learn to communicate when things get difficult. It's seeing them make adjustments, trust their teammates, and find success together. It's the encouragement, the hustle, the smiles, and the pride they take in one another's accomplishments.

Every athlete on this team contributes to what makes Holmen ASL so special, and tonight was another fantastic example of what happens when they bring their individual talents together for a common goal!

BONUS: The coaches got to see ASL Legend Jack Teegan after the game!!

🎄🥫 OUR BIGGEST COMPETITION IS HAPPENING OFF THE COURT! 🥫🎄
While our Vikings are battling for wins on the court, they're also competing for something even bigger: making a difference in our community!

Our ASL League's season-long Rotary Lights / Hunger Task Force / United Way Food Drive Challenge is still going strong, and Holmen is competing against other ASL teams to collect the MOST donated items!

We're calling on our entire Viking family—athletes, parents, students, staff, friends, and fans—to help us fill our donation barrel and make a meaningful impact on families throughout our community!
