3 weeks ago, my mentor passed away. He is the reason why I am the artist that I am today. I hate that the last time I saw you was 10 years ago. So here's a comic of us catching up like we used to. I will make you proud, sir. I know you hate soppy messages, but I love you. And I can't wait to paint with you again.

Never before seen concept art for my first "Draugr"

The first image is the alternate cover photo, the second is the concept drawing of the draugr, the third image was the original title for the comic.

"The whole where your heart belongs" has the double meaning of "belonging to a family", but also if you were to replace "whole" with "hole", it references the burial that never took place in the story. When a warrior isn't buried, it's said that they become a draugr. That's just one of the many ways to create a draugr in Norse mythogy.
