That anger you feel toward yourself after a breakup takes over your whole system: your mind and your body.
In your mind, it sounds like:
“I should’ve known better” “I saw the red flags and ignored them”
“I did this to myself” “I keep repeating the same mistakes”
“Something is very wrong with me”.
Your mind replaying everything over and over, questioning every decision you made, every word you said, losing trust in yourself, feeling completely unlovable.
And in your body, it feels like:
Pain in your chest and stomach, restlessness, like you can’t fully relax
a constant underlying anxiety that doesn’t let you settle
So you think:
“This is destroying me.”
But what if it’s not?
What if it’s showing you where you left yourself, so you can start choosing yourself now?
Because most people, in heartbreak turn against themselves.
What if instead, in that moment you pause, take a breath and ask:
“What do I need right now?”
And instead of attacking yourself, you listen and respond.
That’s how you start coming back to yourself.
And you can start now ❤️
