This class combines the skills learned in NRA Basic Pistol, Pistol Holster, and Pistol RDS classes; it adds intermediate skills and shooting drills.

Modern pistols come with two kinds of sights used to aim the firearm......Traditional Iron Sights and newer Red Dot Sights (RDS).

Many competitive shooters, military and police agencies have adopted RDS optics because of the benefits.

With Iron Sights you have to draw the pistol and align the front and rear sights before you can aim with precision.

With RDS optics you skip the alignment of two sights and simply place the "Dot" on your target. This allows for faster precision sight aquisition and shooting speed.

However many classic Iron Sight shooters, admittedly have a hard time switching over to RDS sights, because they had to re-learn how to aim. But once they figure it out most will admit, RDS optics are faster.

You can also co-witness RDS optics with the pistol Iron Sights, which provides a back-up sighting system which is never a bad thing.

If you are new to shooting or an experienced pistol shooter and are considering RDS optics; This class is for you.

One of the best safety accessories for a pistol owner is a good quality holster. In fact we recommend that folks purchase their carry pistol and a holster at the same time if possible.

A good quality holster will retain the pistol and prevent the trigger from being pressed unintentionally. Carrying a pistol loose in your pocket, a purse, backpack etc...is an accident waiting to happen.

Purchasing the wrong holster or not learning how to safely utilize a pistol with a holster can also be dangerous.

This course is intended to educate our clients on how to properly select and safely use a pistol with a holster. If you intend to conceal carry a pistol, this class will teach you essential skills to do so SAFELY.
