What an incredible day at Stone Oak Country Club!

Thanks to the generosity of our golfers, sponsors, volunteers, and supporters, the Springfield Schools Foundation's Annual Golf Outing raised just over $20,000 to support Springfield Schools' Community!

These funds will go directly toward classroom grants for teachers and scholarships for graduating seniors; helping create even more opportunities for our students.

Foundation grants in action!

Mrs. Candiello, art teacher at Holloway Elementary, used her grant to create a special Glow Day for her students. "The students were engaged and participating! It was a home-run with the students! They were creating and imagining truly excellent projects!"

Ms. Golick, Holloway's music teacher, used SSF-funded xylophones to launch a "Compose Your Own Song" project. "Thanks to the Foundation Grant, I have enough instruments for students to work in pairs to create and perform their songs! This was a big hit with the students, and I'm really excited to have a full year to expand on these concepts and standards."

The garden is looking great! Located at SMS, this community garden was made possible in part through funding from the Springfield Schools Foundation and is open for anyone and everyone to enjoy. Community members are welcome to stop by, explore the garden, and harvest the fresh fruits and vegetables as they become available.

We are proud to support projects that bring learning opportunities, healthy food, and community connections to Springfield!

The Springfield Schools Foundation Board of Directors will hold its next regular meeting on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. at the Springfield Local Schools Board Office, 6924 Spring Valley Drive, Holland, Ohio.

At this meeting, the Board will consider and vote on the following proposed slate of officers for the upcoming term:

• President – Scott Stigall
• Vice President – Kari Bucher
• Secretary – Amanda Koba
• Treasurer – Chris Schlachter

This notice is being provided in accordance with the Springfield Schools Foundation Bylaws requiring public notice at least 30 days prior to the officer election.

Thanks to generous support from our community, Springfield Schools Foundation grant funds are making a direct impact in our classrooms!

Ms. Neal at Springfield High School purchased a stool and standing desk to create a more engaging classroom environment, while Ms. Kerns, Ms. Delas, and Ms. Eckhart at Dorr Elementary used their funds for Yoto Mini audio players, flexible seating, and other classroom tools that students are already loving.
