School of Systems and Enterprises Announces 2023 Student Awards With the 2022-23 academic year at Stevens coming to a close, the School of Systems and Enterprises is proud to recognize the recipients of its annual undergraduate, graduate and doctoral student awards.

Laura Mathews' dual academic and athletic passions recently coincided with a whirlwind 15 minutes that saw her Senior Design team win the prestigious Stevens Institute of Technology Ansary Competition at the same time she was competing in the Penn Relays, one of the biggest track competition in the U.S.

All Systems Go: Student-Athlete Laura Mathews Blazes Multiple Trails Laura Mathews arrived at Stevens four years ago a gifted math and science-oriented student unsure which major she wanted to pursue. She also was an accomplished high school track athlete beaten down by injuries and convinced her peak competitive days were already in the rearview mirror.

Software Engineering Shines at 2023 Innovation Expo The Software Engineering program in Stevens' School of Systems and Enterprises placed two teams in the Ansary Entrepreneurship Competition: GuiDAR and eFish n' Sea.

Last Friday, the School of Systems and Enterprises placed three teams in the final 10 of the Ansary Entrepreneurship Competition at the conclusion of the 2023 Stevens Innovation Expo.

The Maritime Security team comprised of Industrial & Systems Engineering majors took home first prize and $10,000! Two Software Engineering teams also were finalists: GuiDAR and eFish n' Sea.
