HINTON — The Hinton girls had a banner year in 2025-26. The school earned banners from the IGHSAU in volleyball, basketball, track and field, golf and softball.

Over the summer, about 120 kids came in to summer weights to work on speed and strength. We made incredible gains! The boys started with just 5 of them able to run 20+ MPH and we ended with 10! We also worked on accel work where we started the summer with 3 guys able to get to 16 MPH after a 5 yard run in and ended the summer 15 of the boys over 16 MPH.

The ladies worked mainly on accel due to time constraints. They also made some incredible gains. We started the year with 4 girls capable of hitting 15 mph after a 5 yard run in, and ended with 6!

Perhaps my favorite stat of the summer is this one, of the 116 athletes who came in to get better, 110 improved on their times from the very first session. That's roughly 95% of the kids!
