It is necessary to organize the club minimum 75% of Hawaii Community College students, however, we are able to accept from the people from the community.
Japan Club はハワイ島ヒロのHawai’i Community Collegeの学生を中心に設立された学校公認のクラブです。メンバーの75%をHawai’i Community Collegeの学生で構成することが必要とされていますが、それ以外はどなたでも参加できます。3.11の東北地方太平洋沖大震災の翌日からキャンパス内の有志で始めた”Gambare Japan”という千羽鶴&メッセージプロジェクトで、一人ひとりがつながり合っていくことの大切さを実感したことがクラブ創立のきっかけとなりました。様々な活動を通して地域に根付くコミュニティーとなることを目標としています。
学内外を問わず、日本文化に興味のあるすべての方が参加いただけるクラブです！

Hawaii CC's International Education Week made the local newspaper! The picture shows the Japan Club's calligraphy table. A number of Japanese and Chinese IEP students volunteered for this activity showing local students how write Chinese characters.
