Announcing new dance classes! Whether your thing is Lindy Hop, Blues, Jazz Routines, Charleston or fundamental Dance Technique, we have you covered! (And you never need to bring a partner.) Classes run Mondays and Tuesdays from May 11 & 12 through June 8 & 9. Many are beginner-friendly!

News flash! Emma and Brad will teach the lesson before our April 11 Saturday Swing social at the Hilo Elks!

Guest instructors Emma and Brad will teach a lesson, "Dancing in Closed," at the Hilo Elks Lodge, 150 Kino'ole Street, on Tuesday, April 7, at 7:00 p.m. $15, payable at the door. To preregister, go to https://www.hilohepcats.org/contact

They're also teaching the lesson before our April 11 Saturday Swing social dance. 6:00, $15 at the door of the Hilo Elks Lodge.

Here's their bio: Seattle-based dancers Emma and Brad have each been dancing for over a decade, and for the past several years of partnership, have been teaching, learning, competing, performing, and dancing for pure joy locally and abroad. As dancers and teachers, they focus on cultivating reliable technique, connecting with the music, and creating space for every dancer to find artistic expression. They are passionate about swingouts of all tempos, and spend most of their time together trying to make each other laugh.

Two classes per day, Mondays and Tuesdays from March 30/31 through May 4/5. There are classes for all levels of dancer. Most are focused on Lindy skills: Swing Out, Dips/Lifts, Adding Time, Leaning into Lyrics, dancing to Stops & Breaks. Also offering Tangoed Up In Blues and some fun skills like Stealing Games and Pirate & Ninjas.
