Hawaii State Teachers Association Hilo Chapter represents approximately 1200 teachers throughout all of East Hawaii. This teacher union encompasses P-12 in two different complexes, Hilo/Waiakea & Ka'u/Kea'au/ Pahoa. HSTA-R Hilo Chapter is the BEST! They even got recognition because of all they do! The district of the year award includes being involved in our community, taking care of their members, showing their work in a district binder and supporting retiree issues.
