“You can discover more about a person in an hour of play than in a year of conversation.” — Plato
Children learn to identify, sort, and name colors between ages 2 and 4, which builds crucial cognitive, language, and pre-academic skills. Understanding colors aids in classification, safety awareness, and emotional regulation, while also boosting creativity and memory retention. These skills improve visual discrimination and prepare them for reading and math.

Cognitive Skills & Sorting: Children begin to classify objects by color (e.g., sorting red blocks from blue ones), which is a fundamental math skill.
Language Development: Learning color names allows children to expand their vocabulary and describe their world more accurately.
Safety and Meaning: Colors convey information, such as red for stop or danger, and identifying these helps children understand their environment.
Visual Discrimination & Math: Recognizing colors helps children distinguish between shapes, which is critical for identifying numbers and letters.
Emotional Regulation: Colors can affect energy levels and emotions (e.g., cool colors for calm, warm for energy), helping children express feelings and manage moods.
Creative Expression: Using colors in drawing and play fosters imagination and allows for artistic expression.
"Play is often talked about as if it were a relief from serious learning. But for children, play is serious learning." — Fred Rogers aka Mr. Rogers

"It is in playing, and only in playing, that the individual child or adult is able to be creative and to use the whole personality." — D.W. Winnicott

Early literacy skill development commences at an early age, so reading to infants is essential. Their brains are akin to sponges, absorbing the world around them from their unique perspective. Childcare and daycare providers, in conjunction with parents and guardians, play a vital role in creating a nurturing environment that fosters healthy growth and development in children, enabling them to thrive as healthy and inquisitive individuals. Reading to children encourages their imagination and creativity, promoting cognitive development beyond our expectations. Continuing to read to infants will facilitate their development into healthy, curious adults with an inherent desire to learn.
Dear parents, unfortunately I am unable to take unvaccinated children without a letter of medical or religious exemption. Please obtain all necessary documents and or paperwork needed for enrollment. We apologize for any inconvenience.
