Our Casinos Unite Against Hunger campaign, in partnership with The Community FoodBank of New Jersey (CFBNJ), is one of the many ways Atlantic City casinos are working together to support our community members.

We’re proud to share that last week’s Meal on a Mission event at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City helped bring our Casinos Unite Against Hunger campaign to nearly $400,000 raised since launching in May 2025—equivalent to providing more than 1.2 million meals to individuals and families in need.

Atlantic City casinos raised nearly $120,000 to combat food insecurity across South Jersey at the CFBNJ’s inaugural event, including $50,000 contributions from both CANJ and Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City in honor of the property's eighth anniversary.

Thank you to the community leaders, acclaimed chefs, local businesses, and supporters who came together to make this event a success. Together, we're helping ensure more individuals and families have access to the meals and resources they need.

Yesterday, CFBNJ proudly welcomed an exceptional group of students to our Summer 2026 Internship Program.🧡

We are excited to have these talented interns join our team and contribute across a variety of departments. Meet a few of our interns, learn where they attend college, and discover the departments they’ll be supporting this summer. We look forward to seeing the impact they make and all they accomplish in the months ahead. ☀️

Together, we’re feeding New Jersey with PRIDE! 🌈💙

Yesterday, CFBNJ proudly joined New Jersey’s five food banks at the Asbury Park Pride Parade, standing in solidarity with LGBTQ+ communities and raising awareness about the disproportionate impact of food insecurity on LGBTQ+ individuals and families.

From marching alongside our partners to celebrating with some furry friends and Governor Mikie Sherrill, it was a day filled with community, visibility, and pride. Thank you to everyone who showed up to support a more equitable and hunger-free New Jersey.

🎉Five years. $500,000 invested. Countless lives impacted.

Today, we joined Spencer Spirit Holdings, parent company of Spencer's and Spirit Halloween, at their Egg Harbor Township headquarters to celebrate five years of partnership in the fight against hunger across South Jersey. Since 2021, Spencer’s and Spirit Halloween have provided $100,000 annually as a Visionary Impact Partner, helping support programs that deliver nutritious food to children, families, seniors, and neighbors facing food insecurity.

Their commitment goes far beyond funding. Over the past five years, more than 1,000 employees have volunteered 2,200+ hours, donated 19,000+ pounds of food and essentials, provided emergency gift cards during the 2025 government shutdown, and helped bring Halloween joy to South Jersey children each year.

Thank you, Spencer Spirit Holdings, for your continued partnership and dedication to building a food secure future for New Jersey!

Happy from CFBNJ! ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

This month, we celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community and the freedom to live authentically. With joy, love, and pride, we honor the diverse identities, experiences, and contributions that make our communities stronger. At CFBNJ, we recognize that LGBTQIA+ individuals are disproportionately affected by food insecurity. We remain committed to ensuring that all people have access to inclusive, equitable, and compassionate support.

Did you know? Many alternative food distribution models used by CFBNJ and other food banks and pantries today, such as home delivery, medically tailored meals, and community-based meal programs, were shaped by LGBTQIA+ activists and AIDS service organizations during the HIV/AIDS crisis. These communities helped transform food support into compassionate, dignity-centered care and helped lay the foundation for today’s “Food is Medicine” movement.

Together, we celebrate, uplift, and stand with the LGBTQIA+ community, not only during Pride Month, but throughout the year. 🌈
