This shares sad news. Albert Wolfkiel passed away in December shortly after being diagnosed with cancer. His wife died one month later due to a surgery to remove early stage cancer. They leave behind 3 children who still require care and are now with a guardian. There is a link in Albert’s obituary to help fund a meal train for his children. We are fortunate that we were able to see him 2 years ago at our 40th class reunion.

I have some sad news. Doug McCann passed away in October. He had struggled with difficult health issues for a number of years. Many of us were lucky to see him at our 40th reunion lunch at the Cornelius Pass Roadhouse. On behalf of our class, this sends condolences to his sister and our classmate, Gina (McCann) Ball and the McCann family. Doug will be missed by so many.

Very sad to say that Lisa Olson has passed away. She had a contagious smile and energy that will be missed. She battled a number of health issues over the last months. How lucky we were to have been able to see her at our reunion this past summer.

Today's Oregonian features an article about Ian Tunger. The bottom line is that he has been released without charges and is back on medication for his schizophrenia which was diagnosed over 30 years ago. The incident that led to his trouble resulted from problems with his medication at the time. Really wishing the best for Ian and his family.

One judge called the state hospital’s handling of Tunger’s case “mind-boggling.”

All: Please keep classmates Lisa Sample (Hunnicutt) and Julie Hornick in your thoughts. Both live east of Tampa - right in the path of the storm. Julie lives in Lakeland and Lisa lives in Haines City. Both live right near where you see WinterHaven on the map below. Lane Miller is also there in Bradenton - south of Tampa and just north of where you see Sarasota on the map.
