WHEW!!!

I've been told, as a small business owner, that we spend about 70% on the business stuff (marketing, tutorials, follow-up, admin, you know - all the ahem, cough, cough "fun" stuff) and we only get to spend about 30% of our time on the actual creative stuff.

Seems like I've been doing all the business stuff lately. So much so that I deliberately penciled TWO WEEKS to spend time with Hubs, doggo, do things around the house, READ!!!, you know LIFE!

Yeah... best laid plans, right? So, finally got my JUNE Bikes and Blooms Paper Pumpkin kit finished. LOVE that kit!!!! Hubs participates in Pelotonia every year - EVERY. YEAR. He's using these cards as his THANK YOU notes for those who donated to his Pelotonia account! LOVE THIS!!!! *Even bought a refill so there are NINE additional Thank You cards not shown!

After all the photos were taken, measurements measured, products listed, tutorial done and emailed to my Paper Pumpkin subscribers, tutorial shared with my team in our private FB group, I "needed" to get back to that 30% creating time! That's the part I really enjoy!!!

Craft Show season is right around the corner! Cut and scored 39 of these cute little boxes! Cannot wait to show the final projects!!!! Some of the fall colors shown will coordinate beautifully with the August 2026 Product of the Month Designer Series Paper!! That DSP is just so pretty!!!!

So, what do you think is going into these little boxes? The size is about 0.5"x1.75"x3". Such a cute little box!!!

LOVE my TEAM of Latte Joy Stampers!

We meet together VIRTUALLY once a month and talk business, creativity, recognize accomplishments, and well... just basically solve all of the world's problems! Not really, but you know what I mean!

So... Hubs is on vacation this week. I tend to make a little bit of noise when crafting - those tape runners really do make noise in the wee hours. Not to mention talking to yourself "Oh, I didn't want that to go there! Oh, doesn't that look nice!" You get the idea! IYKYK!

What do you do when trying not to wake your other half? COFFEE is always a given ❤️☕️ and I've been reading the Dungeon Crawler Carl Series . The Boy finished the series a month or so ago, and I just got books 6 and 7 from the library. Guess I'd best get to it!

So... Got a new kit - Daisy Days Kit. Purchased it so I could make it for a friend. And wanted to personalize it a bit for her. She's going on a trip in September.

And - you may know that I listen to True Crime podcasts, watch ALL the Datelines and like shows, read all those type of books. You get the idea.

So... when I started to personalize the kit, I needed to cut apart some of the letters to make my own words. Yeah... was kinda feeling like it was a ransom note! Thank goodness it wasn't!

And - when you see the final product, I think you will agree that all the cutting and pasting of the letters was WELL worth it!

Sometimes we gotta go outside of the box!

Hubs had a birthday recently. And for those who don't know us personally, we love all things SNOOPY! Many, many moons ago, we even decorated The Boy's nursery using Snoopy stuff! SO FUN!!!

So, since Stampin' Up! does not offer any Snoopy stamps (probably something with copyright issues!), and I was very fortunate enough to snag one of those Snoopy sets that came with a stamping magazine a few months ago, I used those stamps BUT used my cardstock, inks, punch, dies, embossing powders, well... you get the idea!

*Real Red, Smoky Slate, and Shimmery White cardstocks; Basic Gray ink; various markers and Blends; Spotlight on Nature Dies, Gold embossing powder and Heat Tool (definitely needed my Embossing Buddy too!). Oh - and even an old corner rounder that is on its last leg!

What do you think? This etch-a-sketch style card is making the rounds. Hubs LOVED it!!!

Now - while I absolutely LOVE the various characters in this stamp set, I'm SO sticking with my Stampin' Up! supplies! The quality of stamps is very different. I had to be SO CAREFUL when pulling these stamps off the acetate sheet.

So... My tennis shoes split - my "good" ones - not my lawn mowing ones. My nice Hokas! And I've been wearing them for the past 10 days/2 weeks or so because I haven't made time to go shopping to get a new pair! (I dislike shopping a great deal!)

Finally made time to go to the shoe store. Have two different styles and colors. Asked doggo for some assistance. He's absolutely no help!

So - since they both are similar and I am comfortable with both, which ones do YOU like? They are both Asics brand. Or do you have a brand you recommend?

We are staying inside since it's so stinkin' hot outside! I'll be walking circles in the house to decide which one to keep - so gimme your thoughts! They ARE new shoes so you just KNOW that I'll run faster with either pair - IF I ran, of course. 🤣
