What's in a Name?
It is with great excitement we announce that Mom’s Day Out has a new name: MY DAY OUT! The Mom’s Day Out ministry began at Scioto Ridge in 1986 as a community support for area mothers. Times have changed in those 37 years. We not only have moms dropping off their kiddos, but many dads, grandparents, and other family members as well. In addition, MDO not only serves the adults, but it benefits the children too! Our mission statement reads:

“It is the mission of My Day Out to provide a safe, fun and nurturing play-based learning environment for the children of the church and community on a weekly basis, while parents/guardians enjoy some free time.”

By changing MOM’S to MY, we are able to broaden the inclusivity of our name to represent everyone the program serves. The 2023-2024 MY DAY OUT program kicks off this week. Please keep the children, parents/caregivers, and the MDO teachers in your prayers!

Scioto Ridge Kids is trying its first ever Summer MDO for ages 6 months - 2nd grade. Check the photos below for all the details. Wednesday registration:

Registration for the 2022-2023 school year is now open! Mom's Day Out is a ministry of Scioto Ridge UMC that opened in 1986 to provide a safe, fun and nurturing play-based learning environment for children ages 6 months to 5 years. Classes are once a week, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday from 9:30-1, September - May. The cost is $50 registration fee per family, $100/month for the first child and $90 for each additional child.
