Hightstown High school Wrestling

Big Home match for us tonight against Steinert! This match will be for the CVC Colonial Division Championship!!! Should be a good one, come out and support our Rams tonight!!

3 Big wins at our home quad match yesterday as we defeated Princeton 56-19, beat AL Johnson 66-16 and in a very competitive back and forth match our Rams defeated Moorestown 44-31! We are now 9-2 on the Dual Meet season with an away match thus Wednesday night at Trenton!

Come out and support our Hightstown Wrestling team tomorrow as we host a Quad Match against Princeton, AL Johnson and Moorestown, wrestling starts at 9am. We are currently 6-2 on the dual meet season, we look forward to seeing you there!!

Today we head to Notre Dame High School for a Quad Match. We will wrestle Robbinsville, Ewing, and Notre Dame. We look forward to seeing you there and appreciate your support.

Today we wrestled in the Hammonton Tournament, and we placed 3rd as a team. Our 3 Champions were Jordan Corzo, Jacob Kramer, and Iker Reyes. Chris Florian and Justin Sanmartin both placed 2nd. Emerson Guerra, Jaiker Fabian, and Branden Martinez all placed 3rd. Proud of our guys! Onto next week!

The Hightstown Wrestling Team is currently 3-1 on the season and we are about to start our first tournament for the season!!

The Hightstown High School Wrestling team opened up our season with a quad match at Burlington Township. The Rams defeated Burlington Township 41-34 on Justin Sanmartin’s match clinching pin in the final bout. Antonio Arroyo had a huge pin as well in his match. The Rams then lost 55-17 to Middletown South but then rallied back to defeat Holy Cross 72-8. Chris Florian and Jacob Kramer both finishes 3-0 on the day! The Rams are back in action this Tuesday night at 6pm at home as we host WW-P South, hope to see you there!!!

It is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of Coach Russo’s brother Jimmy. Jimmy was a wrestler for Hightstown and has been an avid Hightstown Wrestling fan ever since. Jimmy can be remembered as sitting next to Mike “Big Mike” Russo Sr in the stands at almost every wrestling match for the past 3 decades. He always had a smile on his face, a joke to tell, and a great story to tell about Coach Weck. He was the only person who knew Weck’s Pacific League record by heart! He will be greatly missed by the entire HHS wrestling family.

Visitation will be Thursday April 3rd from 4-8pm at the Saul colonial home in Hamilton

Services will be Friday April 4th at 12pm, also at the Saul colonial home, followed by burial at East Windsor Cemetary

Congrats to Hightstown wrestler Chris Cropanese for taking 3rd place at the Region 6 Tournament at 138 pounds to qualify for next week’s State Tournament in Atlantic City!! We are very proud of you Crop, good luck to you and Keyra in AC!!
