In studying science you will hear many statements. These statements are called a “hypothesis” if it can be tested. They are called a “theory” if they cannot be tested. If you can test it, you can gather your own data or read the well organized papers from people who have already run experiments. This lets us share our findings and collaborate to a more accurate representation of how the world around us works. If you cannot test the statement, you have a theory. Theories require faith to believe as true. If you have a theory, ask yourself: does this theory require faith in man or faith in God?
