Kids in Christ

Kids in Christ www.kidsinchrist.org Kids in Christ is an ecumenical program that is sponsored by Highland Hope UMC. We follow the Highland Community District #5 calendar.

Kids in Christ offers healthy snacks, ecumenical devotions, homework time, activities, and crafts. We dance, sing, play, learn and grow together! We offer full time care only. Kids in Christ teachers and aides are background checked, certified in First Aid and CPR. They strive to meet the children's needs physically, emotionally, intellectually, creatively, socially and spiritually. Kids in Christ

is DCFS licensed-exempt. Kids in Christ also offers a day camp on specific days students are off school. It takes place at Highland Hope UMC. KiC day camp is offered on specific school holidays, winter break, spring break, and all of summer break. It operates from 6AM- 6PM, Monday-Friday. The day camp offers snacks in the morning and afternoon. In the summer time we travel for field trips such as the Marcoot Creamy, the Lory Theater, Edisons and swimming at the local pool. Ecumenical devotions, activities, and crafts are a daily part of our schedule. For more information on our school year program or summer time program, please contact the director, Ms Shawna Thole.

As our summer comes to a close, we want to express our deepest gratitude to each and every one of you. Our first summer as Directors would not have been possible without your trust, support, and acceptance.

Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to find our footing, for embracing the changes this summer brought, and for continuing to show up each day. Your encouragement and support have meant more than you know.
Every one of you—and every child who walked through our doors—is the reason KiC continues to have a place in this community. For that, we are eternally grateful.

Helloo!! I am Ms. Meggie and I have been with KiC for 13 years and this was my first summer as Director. This summer is going to forever have a special place in my heart, because of our amazing families and kids! In my spare time I love to be with friends and family, go boating, camping, watch movies/tv and read. Something random about me is that a few of my toes are webbed together.

Hi! I am Ms. KT! I live in Highland with my husband Carl and my dog Kace. My daughter, Hailey, is living in Murray, KY where she is attending Murray State University. I teach junior high social studies and math at Albers Elementary. I am excited about being back at KiC after a few years off. In my spare time I like to read, camp, boat and spend time with my friends and family! A fun fact about me is that I love to travel and have Been to 5 countries outside of thr U.S.

Hi! My name is Ms. Katrina and this is my 4th summer with KiC! I have been very excited to be the Campus Supervisor this summer! I just graduated from SIUE with a degree in Early Childhood Education, I am so excited to become a teacher! This was a week filled with Lasts, our last pool day and our last field trip. Teachers and students were busy soaking up every minute as we approach our last and final week of camp. Next week is still filled with so many fun things and we can't wait to hang out and play for one more final week!
