Exploring, Learning & Laughing at the Children’s Museum! 🧠🎨🚀

Today was all about curiosity, creativity, and connection as I spent the day at the Children’s Museum! 💛

From hands-on science exhibits to imaginative play zones, every corner sparked wonder and giggles. We explored, built, pretended, and asked so many questions (the best kind of day, if you ask me 😉).

Museums like this are more than just fun, they encourage:
✨ Cognitive development
🧩 Problem-solving skills
🤝 Social interaction
🎨 Creative expression
🌎 Real-world learning through play!

So grateful for these moments to bond, learn, and make memories. 💫 I love being part of the journey as little minds grow!

🌱🥒 Cucumber Planting Party Recap! 🥳🌿Our Cucumber Planting Party was a fresh and fun success! 🧑🏽‍🌾✨Each little gardener was celebrated with a “Little Planter Award” and a special “Dirt & Worms” treat bag filled with chocolate chips and gummy worms because planting is sweeter with snacks! 🍫🪱

The day was filled with hands-on learning:
🥒 Each child learned fun cucumber facts (did you know they’re 95% water?! 💧)
🥒 Everyone planted their own cucumber seeds to take home and grow
🥒 We jammed to silly cucumber songs 🎶
🥒 We taste-tested pickled and regular cucumber slices with fun toppings like ranch, Tajín, seaweed, cheese, chicken salad, and more! 😋

And the best part? The learning stuck!💚 One child proudly shared that cucumbers are green💧
Another discovered cucumbers are fruit and mostly water 😝
And one brave taste-tester said, “Cucumbers make my face squishy” but that’s okay! Learning what you don’t like is part of the experience!”🌿

It was a day of exploration, joy, and growing both gardens and curious minds. Thank you to these amazing little planters for making this event such a hit!📸

🌧️☁️ Rain Cloud & Cloud Dough Fun! ☁️🌧️

As we prepare for this week’s possible rain, today’s group of little scientists had a blast exploring weather and sensory play with two hands-on activities: Cloud Dough and Rain Cloud in a Jar!

👩🏽‍🍳 Cloud Dough Recipe
We mixed up some soft, squishy cloud dough using:
• 1 cup cornstarch
• 1/2 cup dish soap
• 1/4 cup water (added slowly)
• A few drops of food coloring for fun (optional)

The result? A magical dough that’s moldable, soft, and perfect for little hands to explore textures, build creativity, and strengthen fine motor skills! 💪🏽🖐🏽

🌦️ Rain Cloud in a Jar
We also created our own rain clouds using:
• A clear glass
• Water
• Shaving cream
• Food coloring

This exciting visual experiment showed how rain forms in clouds and falls when it gets too heavy. Watching the “rain” fall through the shaving cream brought lots of wide eyes and “wow!” moments! Video in comments!
