14 Benefits of becoming an NCSP student:
1. A proven track record of excellence since 2005.
Read our testimonials to see what our students are saying. Every fall music stores and University based community music schools hire music teachers to teach in their stores and studios. In most cases, the University schools are choosing undergraduate music majors and the music stores are hiring a combination of part time educators. The instructors tend to change yearly as students graduate and leave the area and part-time teachers come and go. The North Carolina School of music has a track record of providing high-quality percussion instruction in High Point, North Carolina, year-round. Our full-time mission is teaching percussion and has been for over a decade.
2. A Safe and Secure Facility
No industrial parks and half-empty strip malls with poor lighting for our students! The safety of our students, staff, and families is a primary concern for us. In addition to fully vetting or staff and instructors, we are located in an up-to-date fine-arts facility on the campus of one of the area’s premier private schools. NCSP families enjoy large, fully lighted and secure off-street parking and key-code entry to the finest teaching facilities in the Triad.
3. A comfortable waiting area for parents.
Instead of waiting in a music retail store showroom, our clients enjoy a large quiet waiting area with comfortable chairs, free WiFi, private restrooms, work tables, coffee, and a microwave. We also provide large observation windows in every door so you can watch your child’s lesson while you wait. Or, if you prefer, you can sit in on their lesson any time you like.
4. The most technologically advanced lesson rooms in the Triad, specifically designed to teach music performance.
No more small, closed-in, ill-equipped rooms in the back of a retail store or “whatever small practice room is open” on a University campus. No “drum rooms” stuck at the back end of the hallway equipped with electronic pad sets. Our facilities are fully sound-proofed and designed for music instruction. Every room features audio and video recording and playback capabilities. At NCSP you will experience drum set rooms with crowned mirrors to allow the instructors to see the student performance from every angle, a large keyboard percussion room with full-length, full-wall mirrors so the student can see their movement on the instruments, and a timpani room that mimics the wide-open concert hall environment where these instrument are played.
5. Website access to lesson materials as well as the constant ability to communicate directly with your instructor.
Forget exactly how that technique you learned in your lesson was done? Don’t wait until next week to find out. Chat directly with your instructor all week long! At NCSP each student has their own web page connected to the school’s website. On that page are all the materials from their lessons and assignments. PDF’s, mp3’s, and videos are all located there for them print, listen to and watch. The audio and video may be slowed down to better aid the student in learning. In addition, the students and parents can chat, directly with their instructor, all week long. Technology is changing how we learn, and how we teach. The North Carolina School of Percussion is at the cutting edge of those changes.
6. Distance Learning programs
