It's been a busy fun-filled summer! Over the last several weeks we have had lots to do like: learn about our community for week 4. We visited Lil' Sally the troll, Northwood Community Center and shopped hor the food pantry. At the end of the week we had a blast bowling.

Week 5 was messy art themed. We got to use stencils and side walk chalk, learned to do sand art, painted flower pots, and tye-dyed pencil cases. We also go to play on the gaming truck after other field trips plans fell threw.

For Rock around the parks week, we went to Jamestown Park, Triad Park and The Sports Center before the weather kept us inside. We still had a great week enjoying puzzles, board games, arts and crafts, an obstacle course, mini bowling, a movie, and more.

Our theme for week 7 was music around the world! We got to enjoy music, instruments and snacks from the continents of North America, Europe and the UK, Asia, Latin America, and Africa. We wrapped up the week by sharing everything we learned (and ice cream) with our parents and some church friends who came to show their support.

We can't wait to share more from weeks 8-10.

Last week we enjoyed our 250th Independence Day celebration with, patriotic toast, a trip to the Triad Park Field of Honor, homemade ice cream in a bag, and mini pies!

Thank you to our friends at Coop and Creek Farm! The kids loved getting to meet and pet the animals, and play in the mud creek kitchen and play areas.

For week 2 of Summer Camp our theme is Farm exploration. Thank you to our friends at Horne Creek Farm for a fun and educational day out of the rain! The kids had a great time meeting all of the animals and they all learned lots.

To our students at Cornerstone, we wish you a safe & happy summer! Congrats on reaching the end of the 2025-2026 school year. We have some friends who are moving or aging out and won't return to us next year. Please don't forget to drop by and visit when you're in the area. We love knowing how you are doing!
