I'm posting this the day after the passing of Dom Famularo.
He was a fellow Al Miller disciple. He was co-creator of The Long Island Drum Center. He headed the education departments of many drum product manufacturing companies.
He was a dad, a husband, a friend to many.
He was a lot of things.
But what he always was was positive. Even through his illness.
I'll be reposting our podcast episode because it's the only thing I have to offer. It's going up because I need to express to people what a positive influence he was in our musical community - not just when he'd speak to celebrity drummers and notable people of influence, but when he would take the time to talk to a local teacher like me and agree to entertain my very tiny audience.
