Worthy Woman,

Forgiveness isn’t about how you feel—it's what you choose to do.
When we get hurt, we can choose to carry that burden or let it go. Living offended is a choice. So is forgiving.

Today is the day to forgive—even if you don’t feel like it.

Forgiveness is a decision, not a feeling. Waiting for your emotions to catch up may keep you stuck longer than necessary.

You are worthy.

Mother’s Day can be a day filled with joy and happiness or expectations and anxiety.

Maybe your mother/adult daughter relationship isn't what you imagined, and the day's interactions will be tough. Perhaps it's a day full of expectations, and you may find yourself giving in or resisting them.
In either case, expectations steal the joy from life.

Hints for Mother’s Day: Be present. See her clearly as she is now. Give her space and grace to just be her.
Offer kindness and love regardless of her choice of reaction.

Enjoy your day.

Honor your mother.
Honor your daughter.
Honor your grandmother.
Honor your friend.

Today, I will give an extra special honor to my mother. At 92, she is still my friend and loving mother. Recent years have brought personal limitations for her, and my prayers and heart go out to her. We are still able to take drives around our Amana loop and piece together puzzles. We giggle at ourselves for saying silly quips such as "the piece I'm looking for must be on the floor," or "this piece has to be here somewhere," or "I need the one with the 'big foot".

Additionally, Worthy Woman, I honor you.
If you were in the room with me I would give you a big hug and thank you for being a great mom.
