📆Just a lil SLOTH sweetness to brighten your Monday

🦥Sweet-n-Slow just a few hours old. As you will see as I turn the camera Sweet'Tater (momma) stays close but is not worried about me next to the baby. The trust we have built w her is truly amazing and im so SO thankful for her trust.

🤗Sweet'Tater did not come from the best start. So she didn't trust humans at first. It took me a Long time to gain it. But I Did!! Now she will come to me everytime I walk into her enclosure seeking lovins attention oh and food of course lol. She wanted me to rub her belly the whole time she was carrying, she gives kisses and holds paws. She does not care to be held so we Don't hold her!! We only do what the animals allow us to do and what they like.

🦥👶Regardless Sweet'Tater is the BEST mother a sloth baby could ask for! She is very attentive and tolerant... that is said because that baby climbs all over her including her face and Tater just allows it. Baby sloth claws are super sharp to. Sweet-n-Slow is on Tater 24/7 and will be for many months to come.

🎂 Sweet-n-Slow just turned 4 months old on Aug 22 and thank the good lord above and Tater for making it so! This is by far my biggest achievement in my adventures of being an animal keeper!

🫠The moment I heard/found the sweetest thing I have ever seen!!

💩On April 22nd I walked in our sloth enclosure to a huge mess by their 💩 bin. As I was cleaning and telling my sloths they need to hit the bin next time.

👂All of a sudden I heard a noise. It was a noise I was familiar w but ALL OF A SUDDEN I heard it again and it Clicked.

‼️!OH MY GOD THAT IS A BABY!‼️

📆It is a date/day that is and will forever be permanently embedded in my brain! This was the plan when I initially brought home Sweet'Tater my female years ago. Then we brought home Tony 2toes Slowman and all the way home we talked about Hopefully having a baby in the future.

🙏It seemed so far away then and it was just a hope and prayer at that point! To actually have it happen is truly a miracle in our eyes ... a dream come true!

🤗BUT WAIT ... having one born is Great BUT now to pray all goes well and she/he thrives and grows to be a healthy happy baby. Well we did! ... We Did Get there! Our vets and the breeder we got our male from has always said w the amount of care we give our babies we wouldn't have a problem. So happy it was true!

👀So below you get to see the very 1st moment just the same as I did. Side note all blankets have been removed. Same as a human baby they are not safe.

😁I swear I live the best life. NO im Not rich $ money wise but boy am I RICH IN LIFE.

Things have been so busy doing programs. I have not had a chance to post my THANK YOUS!

Sat we started out joining in on celebrating 150 year anniversary at St. Mary's Catholic Church Canton.

From there Sat we were invited to Lisbon Homecoming and were very happy to be setup next to our friends at K-Stone Acreage And Rescue. Both events were packed full of fun activities food and great people

Then Sun we went to the twins birthday party in Chazy ty to Jessie for calling on us. The kids were so interactive.

🏕And to those if you who asked "Aren't you guys on vac" ... Yes .. YES we are and I'm MORE than happy to leave camp to join in on festivities, wherever they may be! So again a great BIG TY to all of those who called on us.

We will also be at Lisbon Homecoming this evening from 5 PM till 7
I absolutely love days where we have back-to-back programs. Keeps us busy, and we like it that way.
