What do I offer that other folks don't? Slow Bookselling!

Find out more about this concept and how I'm building this business both slowly and mindfully, with an eye towards sustainability and longevity, while prioritizing human connection: https://stirtheplotbooks.substack.com/p/slow-bookselling

Thank you to everyone who's placed an order to go out today! I appreciate you all

This is a fantastic post! Please read it all and if you want to learn more about Azn's shady business practices I recommend reading the Everything War. If our library doesn't have it then I can special order it for you (I do give discounts for pre-pay special orders, but I still can't go into the negative on it) or you can order it from Bookshop to support my shop or another indie bookseller affiliate 💜

Also, I just finished reading Yesteryear and WOW. So good! Definitely worth reading 💯

My next book order is next week! I'm giving folks until Wednesday to place orders since I've been a bit behind in getting the word out this month :-)

In addition, I'll be at a private music festival this weekend and I am available to bring current inventory to private events or residences or book parties

Stay tuned for some updates soon! There will be a book order this month AND I'm working on some things behind the scenes so that y'all can search my inventory and so I can reliably access any books that are ordered online 🥰

It's slow going, but I'm getting closer to where I'd like to be, which is great news for us all!

My newest book review can be found in full at the link below!

The Divine Gardener's Handbook by Eli Snow was fantastic, 5/5 stars. It will be released on August 18th and I highly recommend pre-ordering a copy, whether from myself or Bookshop or from another indie bookseller in your area

Thank you all for your patience as my response times have been fairly laggy lately. My college class will be over in a few weeks and then I'll be able to write and post more :-)
My next large book order (eligible for pre-pay discounts) will be at the end of the month! Start thinking about what books you want to have on hand as it becomes more difficult to tell in the online world what's real and what isn't. Hard copies of writings by actual humans may become ever more important in the present time.
Happy July 5th! We survived another year, now let's make some positive changes moving forward

Dear friends and customers, please read this piece carefully. THIS is what I've been worried about. THIS is why I offer book ordering in which the titles/customers can't easily be tracked.

That won't help you if your house is searched, of course, but at least if you order directly from me (and most indie booksellers, honestly) nobody can go looking through your online data to find out what you're reading that goes against the currently dominant political narrative.

Stay safe, keep reading whatever you want to, and come see me this Sunday at the Back Alley Boutique and Bud Bar's Pride Fest in Tryon! 💜

P.S. if you're still following the Off the Wall Books N Cafe page, please be aware that I was removed last week (some kind of hacking, I expect, and FB doesn't give pages back without more work than I'm willing to put in so oh well 🤷🏻‍♀️).

Basically, if you're contacted by the page or see new posts, that isn't me. I recommend unfollowing and letting other folks know in case they don't see this ☺️
