This is a fantastic post! Please read it all and if you want to learn more about Azn's shady business practices I recommend reading the Everything War. If our library doesn't have it then I can special order it for you (I do give discounts for pre-pay special orders, but I still can't go into the negative on it) or you can order it from Bookshop to support my shop or another indie bookseller affiliate 💜

Also, I just finished reading Yesteryear and WOW. So good! Definitely worth reading 💯

My next book order is next week! I'm giving folks until Wednesday to place orders since I've been a bit behind in getting the word out this month :-)

In addition, I'll be at a private music festival this weekend and I am available to bring current inventory to private events or residences or book parties

The Divine Gardener's Handbook by Eli Snow was fantastic, 5/5 stars. It will be released on August 18th and I highly recommend pre-ordering a copy, whether from myself or Bookshop or from another indie bookseller in your area

Thank you all for your patience as my response times have been fairly laggy lately. My college class will be over in a few weeks and then I'll be able to write and post more :-)
My next large book order (eligible for pre-pay discounts) will be at the end of the month! Start thinking about what books you want to have on hand as it becomes more difficult to tell in the online world what's real and what isn't. Hard copies of writings by actual humans may become ever more important in the present time.

Dear friends and customers, please read this piece carefully. THIS is what I've been worried about. THIS is why I offer book ordering in which the titles/customers can't easily be tracked.

That won't help you if your house is searched, of course, but at least if you order directly from me (and most indie booksellers, honestly) nobody can go looking through your online data to find out what you're reading that goes against the currently dominant political narrative.

Stay safe, keep reading whatever you want to, and come see me this Sunday at the Back Alley Boutique and Bud Bar's Pride Fest in Tryon! 💜

I had the pleasure of attending the One Book, One Buncombe event in Asheville on May 16th to hear Dolen Perkins-Valdez talk about her new book Happy Land, which is based on local history in Henderson County!
