HHS Lion Pride Band

HHS Lion Pride Band Stay up-to-date with the Henderson High School Lion Pride Band. marching contest in the fall of each year.

During the marching season, "The Pride of Henderson Marching Band" marches in the traditional military style. The drum majors, majorettes, and instrumentalists begin working weeks before the start of school and continue that work each week to prepare a quality performance. In addition to the regular performances at halftime of each varsity football game, the band also competes at the U.I.L. The 20

12 band earned first division ratings at both the district and area marching contests and performed Nov. 5 at the State Marching Contest in San Antonio. During the concert season, the band switches gears to prepare and polish a variety of complex musical pieces to present for public enjoyment at concerts and to present to the judges at the annual U.I.L. concert and sight reading contest in the spring of each year. As the directors share the gift of music with their students, they are committed to instill a strong work ethic, build character, and develop leadership skills in each student. Teamwork, commitment, and dedication fo one another help prepare students to be productive citizens. Thanks to the administrators, teachers, parents, community, Band Boosters, and sponsors for their past and continuing support of this outstanding program!

Huge shoutout to our leadership for stepping up to clean, organize, and put trophies up on some of our new display shelves!

Thanks to their hard work, we can finally bring years of stored trophies back into the spotlight where they belong. More shelves will be installed soon that will provide space to display even more of the LPB's past successes!

Band Registration is HAPPENING NOW! We've already had lots of students come by and get it done!

We will be at the HHS band hall until 4pm for students and parents to come by and get registered for the year. We are excited to see everyone and get started next week!
