We’re excited to offer a three part professional development series with Dr. Derrick Perdue, school administrator and author of the newly released book, Instructional Coaching Effect: How Coaching Builds Confident and Committed Teachers.
If you cannot attend all three sessions, please join us for just one or two—whatever works best for you. A certificate of completion will be emailed for each session you attend. You do not have to attend all three sessions to receive credit, though we do recommend attendance for the full series for the richest learning experience.

Participants will analyze how coaching relationships, feedback cycles, and shared problem-solving can shift teachers from survival mode to professional growth. This session sets the foundation for understanding burnout not as an individual failure, but as a systemic issue that instructional coaching

Teacher confidence plays a critical role in instructional decision-making and student outcomes. This session focuses on the connection between instructional coaching and teacher self-efficacy, highlighting how effective coaching builds belief in one’s ability to impact student learning. Participants will explore strategies coaches use to affirm strengths, scaffold growth, and create reflective dialogue that strengthens teacher confidence. Teachers’ beliefs about responsibility influence how they respond to student learning challenges. This session examines how instructional coaching shapes teacher responsibility beliefs, encouraging ownership of instructional outcomes without increasing blame or pressure. Participants will explore how coaching conversations can shift mindsets from externalizing student success or failure to embracing professional responsibility grounded in support and growth. The session emphasizes fostering accountability through trust, reflection, and collaborative problem-solving.
