April 7, 2006 to November 26, 2013 Hemophagocytic Lymphohistiocytosis, or HLH, is a rapid & almost unstoppable auto-immune deficiency effecting primarily infants & children, although it is not limited by age, race, or nationality. HLH acts so quickly that when bone marrow from a patient is put under a microscope, doctors can literally see the HLH cells eating healthy ones. The only known effective
