Hempstead ISD Transportation Department has selected Kendra Wilson as the 2026 Hempstead ISD Bus Driver of the Year.

School bus drivers have an important role in education. Bus drivers safely transport our students to and from school daily. They are the first school personnel that students see in the morning and the last they see in the afternoon. They help set the tone for students' daily experiences.

🐾💚 Day One of Bobcat Pride Strength and Conditioning Camp was a huge success! 💚🐾

Today, we kicked off Bobcat Pride Camp with an incredible turnout of over 100 student-athletes in attendance! The energy, enthusiasm, and commitment displayed by our students was truly inspiring.

Throughout the day, our athletes worked hard, built teamwork, developed leadership skills, and embraced what it means to be a Hempstead Bobcat. From learning expectations to strengthening team bonds, Day One was filled with excitement, encouragement, and Bobcat Pride!

We are incredibly proud of each student who showed up ready to learn, grow, and represent Hempstead High School with excellence. The future is bright for our Bobcats, and this is just the beginning!

A special thank you to our coaches, staff, and volunteers who helped make today a success. We can’t wait to see what the rest of the week has in store.

Are your student(s) returning for the 2026-2027 School Year?

The Hempstead ISD Annual Update opens June 1. Families have until Monday, July 20, to complete registration. Parents/Guardians of Returning Students must complete the process for students to be scheduled into classes.

Steps to Complete:

- Login to the Parent Portal using your existing credentials
- Click Resume Registration on the pop-upwindow OR click the Registration button on the student card.
- Start registration and continue through each step.
- Click Finish and Submit to District.

Important: If your students will NOT be returning, please notify the campus registrar.
