What an amazing concert given by the 7th and 8th Grade Northern Kentucky Select Bands! Both ensembles did incredible work under the direction of Dr. April Kite and Ms. Lois Wiggins over the course of a day and a half. We are so proud of Zoe Kleisinger, Emma Szymanski - 8th grade; and Vincent Mira, Dan Vega, and Estelle Voisard - 7th grade for being selected to perform with these ensembles from several hundred auditions!! GO BAND!

One of the lesser known instruments of the orchestra/band - the bass clarinet. We will be seeing bass clarinetist, Ron Aufmann, perform with the Cincinnati Pops this Friday on our field trip to Music Hall. Enjoy a snippet of his wonderful playing!

Ron Aufmann also was Mr. Bertsche’s clarinet professor at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music - CCM.
