McGuffey is excited to introduce our new 2nd grade teacher, Ms. Jessica Hill. Ms. Hill is a graduate of Morehead State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Education and is a National Board Certified Teacher. She has been teaching for 12 years. Her previous experience was with Greenup County Schools in Kentucky.

Ms. Hill, who graduated from Newark High School, lives in Newark with her son and her cat. She enjoys cooking and watching sports.

McGuffey is pleased to introduce our Title teacher for the primary grades this year, Mrs. Schwartz.

Mrs. Schwartz graduated from Franklin University with a Bachelor of Science in Primary Education (Pk-5). She has been teaching for 5 years. Her previous experiences include preschool aide, building sub, and positions in Title reading and 6th grade science.

Mrs. Schwartz lives in Newark with her husband, daughter, and son. Her favorite activities include sleeping in, reading historical fiction, and going on adventures with her grandma and children.

She is excited to be working at McGuffey this year, and we are excited to have her!

🗓️ First Day of School Dates
• Grades 1-5, 6 & 9 — August 20
• Grades 7, 8 & 10-12 — August 21
• Preschool — August 24
• Kindergarten — August 28

We can't wait to see our students, staff, and families as we kick off another great year!
