Exciting things are growing at the Downtown Discovery Garden! 🌱

Thanks to a grant from Chestatee Chattahoochee RC&D, the NC State Extension Master Gardener volunteers of Clay County now have a larger and more efficient hoop house to replace the structure damaged by last winter’s snow.

This was the 79th hoop house built in our area by Jerry Hamilton, Scott Hamilton, AJ Hamilton, Ethan Hamilton, Ray Mashburn, and Russell Mashburn. Thank you to everyone who helped make this project possible!

It's almost time for the last speaker event of the year, and we still have room available! We are happy to have Dr. Miller from NC State, coming from Raleigh to join us and teach us the basics of lawns. Come out and bring all your questions to learn how to grow the best grass in Clay County!
