MCHS Football parking spots are available to purchase in the MCHS office starting Monday, August 24th from 10:00-noon and 1:00-4:00, Monday through Thursday. The cost is $30 for the season, payment is due when reserving a spot…no holds. Spots can be purchased from August 24-September 9th and cannot be purchased at the gate. Cash only.

Hawthorne Junior High Girls Basketball Tryouts Monday, August 17th from 6-8pm for 6th-8th grade at the Rockets Gym. Must have a Sports Physical, turn in Student Activity Handbook Paperwork and purchase a Student Body Card $20 the 1st week of school. Good Luck Girls

MCHS Volleyball and Cross Country practices have been officially canceled. HJH Girls Basketball practice has also been canceled due to power outages and weather.

This Friday August 14th Mt Grant General Hospital will be offering a Free School Sports Physical Day. The physical form must be filled out prior to your appointment.

Mineral County Cross Country starts today at 1pm at the High School Football Field then to the pool. Bring swimming gear. Must have a NIAA Sports Physical and Complete on Aktivate.

Mineral County 2026-2027 Fall Sports starts next week. Football will begin Monday July 27th with Football Heat Acclimatization 5-8am, Volleyball will officially start on Saturday August 1st from 3-5pm, on August 3rd Cross Country at 1pm and Cheerleading 7-8/8:30pm and Girls Golf TBA. All High School Athletes need to be Registered and Complete on Aktivate previously known as (Registermyathlete.com) and have a current NIAA 26-27 Sports Physical to be able to Tryout and Practice on the Field or Court. Sports Physicals are $10 at Mount Grant Hospital but they do get extremely busy around this time. Please have a NIAA Sports Physical filled out and ready for the clinic.

The NIAA is the governing body of high school athletics and activities in the Silver State and is devoted to student-athletes engaging in pure competition under uniform regulations.
