Yesterday, seniors celebrated their final band rehearsal with the Concert Band and shared their favorite moments/advice with the rest of their classmates!

Congrats to the Class of 2026! We are excited for our final performance with the Concert Band on Saturday, May 23rd at the Hawley High School graduation!

The Hawley Jazz Band spent three days over this past weekend in Eau Claire, Wisconsin for the 2026 Eau Claire Jazz Festival.

There we were able to perform, listen to copious amounts of jazz, go the the “jazz crawl” in downtown Eau Claire, and best of all … spend time together with each other through jazz!

Day 3 & 4 — We have spent the last two days in our performance at CityWalk, Universal’s Islands of Adventure/Universal Studios, Kennedy’s Space Center, and Cocoa Beach!

Day 2 — We spent our whole day at Universal EPIC Universe containing Harry Potter, Nintendo, How To Train Your Dragon, and Dark World. Lots of fun over a long day of fun. Today is our performance!

Day 1 — Today was a long travel day. We made the trek in two groups, and in the middle of the night to Orlando. Went to Disney Springs, had pool time, pizza and lots of fun along the way. Wiped, and ready for some good rest going into our time at Universal tomorrow!

Our current record for most people in the hot tub stands at 32 … for now …

On Wednesday, March 11th, we had seven of our ensembles and soloists perform at our NW Region Solo & Ensemble Festival hosted at MSUM.

Two of the performances; a solo by Claire Schmitt and our Freshmen Brass ensemble, were rated Superior. And our five other groups were rated Excellent.

We are proud of these Nuggets!! 💛❤️

Come celebrate our fantastic bands this evening at 7pm in the High School Auditorium featuring the Jazz Band, 9th Grade Band, Concert Band and combined Hawley High School Band (9-12th) in preparation for our departure for Florida in one week!

We hope to see you there! 🎶

Congratulations to the Hawley 9th Grade Band and Hawley Concert Band on achieving bronze ratings at the 2026 Raging Red Band Festival hosted at NDSU on Tuesday, March 3rd!

Our 9th Grade Band was also selected with an Outstanding Percussion Section Award and an Outstanding Soloist Award for Neva Triebwasser.

The Concert Band was selected with an Oustanding Saxophone Section Award.
