A little fall fun for a wonderful cause! 🎃

This past Saturday, Wallenpaupack Early Learning Center had the pleasure of being part of the Lackawaxen Care Cabin’s Pumpkin Party!

The Lackawaxen Care Cabin does something truly special for our community, helping provide food to local seniors, children, and families who need a little extra support.

We had such a wonderful time seeing all the smiling faces, watching the kids get creative, and spending the day with so many wonderful families.

At WELC, we believe being part of a community means giving back to it. We want our children to grow up knowing the importance of kindness, helping others, and taking care of the place we call home.

A big thank you to everyone who made this event possible and to the Lackawaxen Care Cabin for all they do for our community. We were proud to be a small part of it! ❤️

What a wonderful day for our community! ❤️

We had such a great time being part of the Pumpkin Party & Car Show! Seeing so many families come together and the smiles on the children’s faces is exactly why we love getting involved in our little community.

A big thank you to Growing Lackawaxen for putting together such a great event and allowing Wallenpaupack Early Learning Center to be part of the fun!

We’re already looking forward to next year! 🍂

🍂 Sometimes the simplest moments make for the best learning experiences!

After reading “Leaf Man” by Lois Ehlert, our little learners headed outside to explore the beautiful fall leaves covering our playground!

Just like in the story, we discovered leaves of all different shapes and sizes. Together, we compared, sorted, and arranged them from biggest to smallest, building early math skills along the way!

We’re so proud of their curiosity and excitement for learning. Sometimes all it takes is a good book and a little bit of nature to turn an ordinary day into something special! ❤️🍁

We love celebrating our WELC kiddos! ❤️

A big congratulations to Hope, one of our wonderful school-age students, for earning Citizen of the Month at Wallenpaupack North Primary School for showing good manners! We are so proud of you!

And a little shoutout to our very own Ms. Ashley! She works hard to incorporate the school district’s monthly character themes into our school-age program, helping carry those important lessons beyond the classroom.

We have some pretty amazing kiddos at WELC, and we’re lucky to have teachers who help them shine!

Way to go, Hope and Ms. Ashley! 🌟

From little acorns, mighty oaks grow! 🌳

Our school-age kiddos have been busy learning about the life cycle of an oak tree, and what started with a book turned into something pretty special!

After exploring outside and discovering acorns that had already begun to sprout, the children got their hands dirty and planted them!

Along the way, they learned about germination, what plants need to survive, and the importance of caring for the world around us.

Our hope is that one day, these little acorns will grow into oak trees that our children can plant right here in our community. How special would it be for them to come back years from now and see something they helped grow?

That’s the kind of learning we believe in. Real experiences, meaningful lessons, and memories that last long after the school day ends.

Our school-age program is growing, and we’d love to welcome more friends!

We’re Better Together! ❤️

Our Pre-K 3 friends have been learning that while we may all be different, there’s something pretty special about what we can accomplish together!

After reading “We’re Better Together”, we put our lesson into action and created a classroom masterpiece that each child had a hand in making.

We couldn’t be prouder of our little crew! It’s one thing to teach children about kindness, friendship, and belonging, but getting to watch them put those lessons into practice is what makes our job so rewarding.

And now we have a beautiful piece of artwork hanging in our classroom to remind us that we’re always better together! ❤️

🍂 Hawley Hoedown was a success! 🤠

We had such a great day at the Hawley Hoedown, and I was so proud that Wallenpaupack Early Learning Center was able to sponsor not one, but TWO of the kids’ activities this year! Seeing all the kids running around, laughing, playing, and enjoying the day made it completely worth it. ❤️

Giving back to the community that supports us is incredibly important to me and is a big part of what I’m trying to build at WELC. I want our center to be more than just a place children come during the day—I want us to be a part of the community, show up for our local families, and help create special memories for our kids whenever we can.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the Hawley Hoedown such a fun day. We were so happy to be a small part of it! 🍁🎃

🎃👻 Calling all little ghosts, ghouls & superheroes! 🦸‍♀️🧙‍♂️

Our library is collecting gently used Halloween costumes all month long! 🧡 If your family has costumes that have been outgrown or are ready for a new spooky adventure, we’d love to give them a second chance to make someone’s Halloween extra special.

📚✨ Donations will be accepted throughout October, and costumes will be available for families to browse starting the week of October 19th!

Let’s keep the Halloween magic going and help every little trick-or-treater find a costume they love. 🎃🕷️👻

🍂 October has arrived at WELC! 🍂

We’re welcoming a new month with all things fall! From collecting leaves outside to sensory play, exploring nature, and bringing a little bit of autumn into our classroom, there is so much for our little learners to discover. 🧡

Some of the best learning happens when little hands are busy exploring, creating, and simply having fun. 🍁

We’re so excited for all the memories, adventures, and learning October will bring!
